Plastic film manufacturers – Creating the history forward

BY Jacob IN , , No comments

Do you know the plastic was first manufactured during 1860s and today it has been widely used across different industries in our lives? Take example of packaging and tell me one product which is not being packed in plastics. A plastic is manufactured from the combination of hydrogen and carbon molecules together with oxygen, nitrogen and chlorine amongst other atoms. The process involves the formation of longer chains known as polymers.

When it comes to plastic types, there are mainly two – thermoplastics and thermosets. Thermoplastics are types of plastics that once solidified and set can be reheated and reformed innumerable times thus making the scope for recycling. Whereas, the latter one cannot be reformed or recycled, and remain constant in their form.

A large number of Plastic Film Manufacturers companies across the world strive to provide superior grade of plastics depending on the end user’s requirements and market trends. The manufacturing process involves gathering information about the resin properties and checks which additives or agents to incorporate during the production to produce the plastic with the most suitable properties. These companies employ different methods of manufacturing such as extrusion processes, injection moulding, casting, sintering and compression moulding to manufacture high quality plastics for various uses.
